Arts + Literature Laboratory provides several artist studios for rent on a rolling basis. With our studios we intend to establish permanently affordable space for artists to make new work in downtown Madison. As highly-visible members of ALL’s community, studio artists benefit from significant cross-pollination with ALL’s 200+ annual events and the more than 400 artists we work with each year across the contemporary arts. Accepted artists are also invited to join the Visual Arts Curatorial Team and participate in exhibitions jurying and other visual arts programmatic decisions.
ALL and local property manager Bruce Bobsen have collaborated to create Roundhouse Studios,a new suite of artist studios at the Roundhouse Building on Commercial Avenue (opposite Tandem Press). The 30 studios are currently filled but you can apply at https://artlitlab.org/about-all/opportunities/studio-application to be added to a waitlist.
