uHuman’s CREATIVE RECOVERY FEST! a community celebration of creativity, recovery, and connection. Madison, WI’s newest festival is a daylong, celebratory, and communal experience on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the gorgeous Art Lit Lab in downtown Madison. At uHuman’s CREATIVE RECOVERY FEST! artists, wellness advocates, folks in recovery, and the general public can welcome the vibrant energy of springtime and recover creativity through a series of arts & wellness workshops and other exciting offerings.
uHuman’s CREATIVE RECOVERY FEST! exists to make creativity, community organizing, and collective healing radically accessible, especially for those who have been the most marginalized in our society—while modeling a solidarity-based future for media, housing, and wellbeing in Madison. The unique & exciting event can help to develop healthier relationships to ourselves, our creative potential, and each other – breaking down barriers, reducing stigma, and having fun along the way.
Featured speakers and workshop facilitators include: 2026 State Assembly candidate, Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford, Dr. Jill McNutt, Lauren Montalbano, Miriam Hall, Alex Punguil Bravo, Autumn Jocas, Morgan D. Stewart
Event highlights: Celebrations of creativity, recovery, and social change with artists, facilitators, and local leaders. Plus: a full day of arts & wellness workshops with local creatives and wellness professionals; four immersive workshops rooted in recovering creativity, including a bilingual Spanish- nglish session with assistance provided by Interpreters' Cooperative of Madison; a relaxing session with a licensed massage therapist; personalized creativity coaching to support your specific goals and next steps; a vegan lunch demo designed by a holistic nutritionist; co-creation of quality content during a live recording of uHuman’s Creative Recovery
