Translators & Translations Open Mic

An earthshatteringly fun evening of reading & drinking! The T&T open mic is a get-together for local people and readable things in English translation.

Anyone may read or just come, sit back and listen. Translations cover all sorts of things – from fiction and non-fiction, short story or dramas. It could be a letter you’ve had translated from geneaology work or it could be…well, it could be almost anything. You choose what you want to read….as long as it’s a translation…and blow us away with your dynamite selection! All readings are in English.

People are also encouraged to read anything they themselves have translated – published or unpublished. The T&T open mic is a friendly space for language-interested folks to gather and get ideas about what the great big world of translations has to offer.

Sign up to read at 7 pm; readings begin at 7:30 pm. Depending on the number of readers, we take a short breather between two sets.
