Protest Dance 2020 by Erika Pinigis

Protest Dance 2020 | Erica Pinigis | 2021 | 5 minutes

This piece, originally a solo performed live, grew out of a need to express the overwhelming nature of living through the zeigeist of 2020. Utilizing a film format allowed me to place the dance within the context of a city in a pivotal time, with the art of boarded up storefronts and a city skyline representative of our government, and with more dance artists.

HTPPBITROC by Andrew Mazur

How to Play Professional Baseball in The Republic of China | Andrew Mazur | 2020 | 12 minutes

HTPPBITROC’s intention is that of an ahistorical/apolitical formalist investigation, an artistic expression via visual abstraction and as an in-the-moment aesthetic experience. Yet it equally intends to be a piece of experimental journalism of and about the complete lockdown of 2020.

A tribute to jazz saxophonist Johnny Griffin, known as the "The Little Giant" physically small but a giant in talent and sound. When I heard Michael Corcoran reading of his tribute to Griffin, I suggested that we record his tribute and produce a short video.

Boat by Steve Chappell

Boat | Steve Chappell | 2025 | 2 minutes

A short animated surrealist film, flipping things around. A ship floats on land, and sinks in a flood, while raining cats and dogs. But, meanwhile what’s happening inside the ship? Well, that’s up to the audience to figure out.

ALL in One by Jon Arnold

ALL in One | Jon Arnold | 2025-2026 | 10 minutes

Ten videos strung together of animated versions of characters from my artwork. I have recently been using AI apps as image processors for my existing images, especially with generating useful 3-D views of them. This has the unanticipated benefit of being able to string them together in mini-movies.

Against the Dark of Night | Mariel McEwan | 2013 | 10 minutes

Three mysterious figures move against an alien landscape as the encroaching darkness threatens their extinction. One generation gives way to the next in a growing ritual of awareness and reaction. This is a story as ancient as the fear of the dark and the necessity to triumph over adversity.

Liking This Angle by Nicholas Wootton

Liking This Angle (two by four) | Nicholas R. Wootton | 2026 | 7 minutes

Liking This Angle (two by four) is an exploration and meditation of the artistic process. I shot video of Christina A West, a Madison artist and UW Assistant Professor of Art, as she explained her work on a plaster cast of a man's arm. The video was used for a simple documentary, but I wanted to explore the expressive potential of the raw video in an experimental form.
