Open House: Fabric dyeing experimentation with Popp!

Instructor: Emily Popp
Where: ALL Education Studio
When: Saturday November 13, 2021 10:00 to 11:30 am

Tie dye is back! Learn to use fabric and dye to create color and pattern. Explore how folding, tying and binding can create different effects. Create something new or give a new look to an old garment. This workshop is appropriate for beginners and those who already have experience. Some fabric will be provided. Material brought from home to dye should be cotton, wool or linen.

Emily Popp (she/hers) is a fashion and textile artist with over a decade of experience in costume design. Her work is based in the repurposing and altering of found and second hand materials. Emily sees fashion as a tool to support feeling comfortable as your true self. She enjoys all styles and forms of that expression (except crocs and bucket hats - ha!). She holds a Master's degree in fashion and textiles from UW Madison and a Post-Baccalaureate in Fashion from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

We are grateful to Monona Bank and Willy St Co-op for sponsoring our Open House weekend.
