Workshop Proposal

Interested in teaching an online or in-person writing workshop at ALL? We are currently looking for instructors for 2018.

Proposals will be reviewed by a group of community writers. The reviewing committee will make decisions based on community demand for workshops, the instructor’s teaching experience, and references. In-person classes will be held at ALL, 2021 Winnebago St., Madison, WI and those instructors should live in the area. Online instructors may live anywhere and need only have reliable Internet service.

Compensation:

ALL instructors are independent contractors and will receive a 1099 form prior to teaching.

In-person instructors will be paid $6.50 per student per hour of classroom time.

VirtuALL Online Writing Community instructors receive $13 per student per class per week, based on enrollment during the second week (some students may drop during the first week). Instructors also receive a development commission that is paid regardless of whether the course has sufficient registration.

Please note, any workshops with fewer than 4 students enrolled one week prior to the start date will be subject to cancellation.

Policy on printing and copying:

It is the responsibility of the instructor to create and print any necessary handouts.

In the event of illness, emergency, or severe weather, we will contact participants via email and work with you to reschedule the class.
