Nestle + William Brittelle + Joel Shanahan

Madison trio Nestle, Brookly-based electro-acoustic composer William Brittelle, and producer/synth wizard Joel Shanahan perform at ALL on Sunday, April 2, 2017 starting at 8pm (doors at 7:30pm). $7 at the door.

(Brittelle will also be participating in events hosted by the Terra Incognita art series during the week of April 2nd.)

The Nestle trio of Robert Lundberg, Ryan Packard, and Cyrus Pireh respectively assemble an instrumentation of double bass and electronics; percussion, accordion, and electronics; and 9-string electric future lute to execute this performance.

To live and thrive in the current situation invokes a certain music: not a music to put on as background or a music to wear as a shirt or badge and gain entry into social sets.

A music that is the result of doing. 
A music that is the result of people. 
A music that exists as proof of existence.

William Brittelle

William Brittelle is a North Carolina-born, Brooklyn-based composer of post-genre electro-acoustic music. His work is increasingly multi-disciplinary and often focuses on the intersection of music, technology, environmentalism, and secular spirituality. Current projects include elements of film, performance art, poetry, and ritualism, and often center on the exploration of altered states of being. His compositional style is characterized by a refusal to acknowledge traditional genre boundaries, a trait perhaps most evident in his most recent commercial releases: the digital single Dream Has No Sacrifice (featuring Jenn Wasner on vocals) and the full album Loving the Chambered Nautilus.
